Privacy Policy

The Jungle Gaming privacy policy — how we collect, use, and protect your information. Effective February 22, 2026.

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 22, 2026

Introduction

The Jungle Gaming ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website thejunglegaming.com — a Rust gaming community site featuring blog posts, game server information, and a store.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, how we use it, and what choices you have. We want to be straightforward about this. If you have questions after reading it, email us at admin@thejunglegaming.com.

This site does not require you to create an account or log in. There is no user registration.

Information We Collect

Automatically Collected

When you visit our site, certain information is collected automatically:

  • IP address — used by our hosting and CDN providers for routing and security
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring URL — the site you came from before landing here
  • Date and time of your visit

This data is collected through server logs, cookies, and analytics tools. It is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Voluntarily Provided

We do not have contact forms, newsletter signups, or user accounts. If you choose to contact us directly by email (admin@thejunglegaming.com), we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use several types.

Essential Cookies

These are required for basic site functionality. They cannot be disabled. We store your cookie consent preferences in your browser's localStorage so we remember your choice on future visits.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), measurement ID: G-T4VQSE75RF, to understand how visitors use our site.

GA4 collects:

  • Pages viewed and scroll depth
  • Session duration and bounce rate
  • Traffic sources (search, direct, referral, social)
  • Device and browser information
  • General geographic location (country/region level — not precise location)

All analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We do not use GA4 to identify individual users. IP anonymization is enabled. GA4 data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may serve personalized ads based on your browsing history and interests, using cookies placed by Google's ad network. These are third-party cookies that Google controls.

If you reject non-essential cookies via our consent banner, personalized advertising will be disabled and you may see generic (non-personalized) ads instead.

Google Consent Mode v2

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. This means that when you interact with our cookie consent banner, your choice is communicated to Google's services (GA4 and AdSense). If you decline non-essential cookies, analytics measurement and ad personalization are adjusted accordingly. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or revisiting the consent banner.

How We Use Your Information

  • Analytics data — to understand which content our readers find useful, so we can publish more of it
  • Advertising — to display ads that fund the site and keep it free to access
  • Aggregate traffic analysis — to identify popular pages, peak traffic times, and where visitors come from
  • Security — server logs help detect and block malicious traffic

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for email marketing. We do not build individual user profiles.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

Your Rights (GDPR — EU and EEA Visitors)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@thejunglegaming.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage (which resets the consent banner) or adjusting your browser's cookie settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

If you believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Your Rights (CCPA — California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know — you can request details about what personal information we collect and how we use it
  • Right to delete — you can request deletion of personal information we have collected
  • Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights

To submit a request, email admin@thejunglegaming.com with the subject line "CCPA Request."

Data Retention

  • Google Analytics 4 — by default, GA4 retains event-level data for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's servers
  • Cookie consent preferences — stored in your browser's localStorage until you clear it manually or reset your browser data
  • Email correspondence — if you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence as long as it is relevant

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (as required by COPPA) or under 16 (as required by GDPR).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@thejunglegaming.com and we will delete it promptly.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle:

  • All traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • Our site is hosted on Vercel, which maintains enterprise-grade infrastructure security
  • We do not store sensitive personal data on our own servers

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. While we use industry-standard measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Our site is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure in the United States. Google Analytics and Google AdSense also process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates.

If you are visiting from the EU or EEA, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU. Google and Vercel use standard contractual clauses and other approved safeguards to ensure these transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We recommend checking this page periodically.

Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
